To celebrate the grand opening of the third and final phase of Broughton Manor Preparatory School, an official champagne launch took place on Monday 17th September. Peter Starmer, Head of Business Development for Barclays Bank opened the ceremony by cutting a ribbon.
The new extension houses a state of the art Information Technology suite, Science Laboratory, a large Art and D&T studio, new classrooms, a Library and a large purpose built sports hall. It is now a magnificent 300 place co-educational day school, part of Milton Keynes Preparatory School. It has a nursery, for children from 2 months to 2½ years old, a pre-preparatory department from 2½ to 7 and preparatory department from 8 to 11 years old. The high standard of specialist teaching in both Milton Keynes Preparatory School and Broughton Manor Preparatory school is evident in the schools’ examination results, with all of Year 6 pupils being offered places at their chosen senior school.
Children from the age of 4 to 11 years from both schools also benefit from their weekly visits to our state of the art environmental centre, where Environmental Studies, Information and Communication Technology, Sport and Fitness and Music and Drama take place.
