Class 5, 6 and 7 amazed at the height of the sunflowers - Sept 2006
In May 2006 class 6 and 7 planted sunflower seeds in Walton Pre-Preparatory School garden. They watered them regularly and generally looked after them,
putting in stakes when needed. When Mrs Ramsbotham returned to school after the summer holidays she was amazed to find that they were almost as tall as the
classroom windows! The children in the photograph are the new class 5, 6 and 7. When these flowers have died they will use some of the seeds to grow more
sunflowers in the summer of 2007. Will they reach the roof next time?
